//Albert receives a letter from his father, Matthew, asking if they can meet up to talk. Matthew has news that will make for uncomfortable hearing about the loss of some of his friends. He also hears the truth about Ben and Jonnie.
//Albert gets shot down and captured behind enemy lines. His friend, Kurt, turns up to take care of the prisoner until the interrogation team arrive. Albert plays on Kurt’s attraction to him and persuades him to aid his escape.
//Albert war heats up as he first loses his observer, shot by an enemy pilot, then he comes to the rescue of a fellow plane which is shot down. He risks his own safety by landing behind enemy lines to retrieve the fallen crew. But when given leave again, he gets the shock of his life.
//Albert spends his two weeks leave with Jonnie. It is a fabulous time for both of them with much love-making. Afterwards, Albert joins his new squadron and meets four fellow pilots that take an instant dislike to him.
//With the death of his father, Maxthane is now king, and he sets out to show his authority by taking charge and looking after those wounded from the fierce battle. Styx declares his love for Kirra and explains how he loves both him and Maxthane and hopes how they can make it work. The story concludes.
//Albert’s war starts as he is sent to France to run missions behind enemy lines. His job is to run night-time flights to a designated drop point where he delivers carrier pigeons, ammunition and personnel. In return he gets given vital intelligence to take back to his superiors.
//Fasha’s subterfuge is discovered and King Salidar lies fatally wounded. Prism, with the poison of the Vhor in his bloodstream, inches closer to death. The nanites he released could only delay the inevitable. The released demon wreaked havoc, with destruction following in its wake. In the penultimate chapter, we ponder, ‘what good was survival if there wasn’t a world worth living in?’
//Having got the information from their German hosts, Jonnie and Albert return home. Albert reminisces about his time at school and how over the Christmas he was there, he and Trevor got together to give Namu his desired present. A double entry fuck. This Christmas he spends the days with Jonnie in his log cabin and is inside Jonnie as the calendar turns to Nineteen Fourteen.
//As the battle enraged around them, Guards belonging to Salidar, dressed in a black leather uniform, engaged Grim and the gladiators as the people ran the other way. Neither side looked like they were winning until three, large, grey forms stepped out of the alleyways. Elroks had come to join the battle as well.
//Jonnie and Albert travel to Berlin where they are met by the efficient German. Albert is masquerading as Lord Penton’s valet and is made to eat with the other servants, who do not take kindly to him. Jonnie goes out one evening but come home pissed. But he has gathered the information he needed about the German military machine.
