A New Perspective by David Heulfryn

Neil turns up at the Fletcher’s house early in the morning. It is part of his provisional punishment, but Owen isn’t pleased with being woken so early.

Max talks to Neil, who opens up about his life and family. Neil seems to change as the boys talk, and Max begins to understand the boy who has made his life hell since he started school.

  1. How is Neil going to abuse Max now? I don’t believe his sob story. He knows Max is a soft touch & Neil will use it for his advantage.
About time Lily went into mama bear mode and stood up for Max. Up until now I got the impression she was blaming Max for his woes .

    1. As you say, Max is a soft touch. And that’s why we love him. His innocence is what males him special.
But his family are less understanding. I love the idea of Lily going into ‘Mama bear mode’.
