Why do homes in the UK have separate hot and cold taps? – A throwback to simpler times.
I’m talking about male rape to encourage other victims of sexual abuse to do the same – Sexual abuse is always unacceptable and every person will handle the aftermath differently. This brave guy has decided to speak up about his rape, but this path is not for everyone.
What Is MEPS and How Do I Deal With It? – Have you ever wanted to join the US military? THis articles tells you what to expect when you arrive at the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS).
I’ve an idea for a miscellaneous subject. Apart from same sex & group male nudity, how about MUD sports? Another of my essays “The Good Ole’ Days of Mud Athletics” is a tribute to to an era when mud wrestling & tackle football was played on real turf. Mud wrestling was popular on college campuses in the 1920s that became non-college tournaments in the “30s. It had a revival in the “80s & got noted/included in the 1981 film “STRIPES” & a TV movie “All the Marbles”. The latter had 2 young women wrestlers conned by their manager (Peter Falk) to wrestle in a mudpit. Swamp soccer is popular in Europe; it strengthens the legs, which is why the Russian army has soldiers play it. Tugs-of-war over mud-pits were common at Summer camps including Boy Scout camps. In fact, tugs-of-war over mud was an Olympic sport in the early 20th Century! ‘Guess the
men in charge of the Olympics then had a less serious attitude regarding that 4 year event. Apart from mud sports, YouTube has muck-luscious videos from “pxehooq” beginning with “Boggyman Swims in a Quagmire” & his “Crescent …” & “Deep Sinking …” this & that. In many of his mud immersions, he sinks out of sight! Another
good trooper is “MudboyAndy” who goes all out wallowin’ in thick mud! The 1926 silent film “SPARROWS” has a muck-luscious scene when Mary Pickford inadvertently pushes a young bully into a swamp of lethally deep thick mud. Twelve minutes into an episode of the “60s TV show “COMBAT” (A Sudden Terror) had a young soldier, played by Brandon de Wilde, wander into a BIG patch of deep quick MUD! A fictional 3 episode series on “Walt Disney Presents” titled “Willy & the Yank” had a scene where Pvt. Willy-C.S.A. fleeing Union Sgt. Gregg lured the latter into quicksand. Unfortunately, YouTube
deleted that scene that was in the Walt Disney Sunday broadcast of
January, 1967. Maybe the folks at YouTube thought it too traumatic in this era of sensitivity. It wasn’t viewed that way when it was broad-cast as family entertainment 6 decades ago! Ya’ gotta’ appreciate the tongue-in-cheek gallows humor of these from an era before vanity & sensitivity permeated the mass media.
